Our Soccer Philosophy
Dance is an art form that generally refers to movement of the body, usually rhythmic and to music, used as a form of expression.
Soccer is a sport that displays body movement with or without a ball. The two have so many similarities, and above all they both promote fun! Our Philosophy has evolved out of the two since kids love both. By combining the rhythm of music and soccer, kids are always having fun, are engaged and develop their skills in a positive environment. We constantly create and develop non drill oriented games that soccer players of all ages like. We promote basic skills and physical endurance through constant movements without the boredom of drills and laps. |
Let me start off by congratulating you all on your decision to participate in our Program!
My name is Niko Alexopoulos and I am the director of SoccerSkilz. Let me assure you that your decision to join our soccer program is one that you will look back in time and realize that influenced, and
aided to develop and built your child's soccer ability, work ethic and
character on and off the pitch. Myself as well as the rest of the coaching staff take pride in educating, developing and building the right
soccer skills, mentality and character to get the best out of each and every
player. We teach and emphasize basic fundamental skills that will produce short
and long term soccer success. We believe that without basic skills, individual
and team soccer success cannot be sustained over a long period of time. Basics
are the key to any success in whatever you do and that applies to soccer as
well. We focus first on individual player development, in a fun productive
environment and then team development. As long as the fundamental basics are
strong the team success will follow.
As kids go from the intro to soccer years, peanuts, to recreation, travel and eventually to college or a higher level, the expectations get higher and they increase as the years go by and the kids get older. The right soccer program begins, develops and grows over the years. It is always a pleasure to see the kids develop right before our eyes over the course of a single or multiple seasons.
As grown-ups we tend to get caught up in the competition and the heat of sportsmanship. Especially as we see our kids excel and progress, setting the expectation bar higher and higher, forgetting that they are just kids and they have just began their soccer journey.
We as coaches combine the right amount of fun, competitive and higher level of soccer experience in our individual players and teams. Too many kids get burned out by the time they reach the age of 13-14 because of continuous pressure to perform and win at all levels.
By educating, growing and developing in a fun and pleasant environment we build a competitive, well balanced high standard individual player or squad that most other soccer programs may aspire.
So cheer the kids as hard as you can, but let the coaches coach!
The love for the “Beautiful Game”, as it is known world wide, along with the experience, work ethic and character we as coaches bring, will shape, build and show case the players' talents.
Our philosophy is to teach every aspect of the game in a fun manner utilizing a combination of European techniques, in a structured and balanced environment, along with the freestyle of South American Soccer.

For the younger players ages 3-10, it is a fun activity that they love to do and are eager to participate in. Private Soccer TrainingThe beauty of private soccer training is that the player gets one-on-one attention to work on any skill or set of skills that he/she want. Working one-on-one, we can quickly identify the player's strengths and weaknesses, and build a focused set of exercises to get him/her seeing improvement quickly.
HEADS UP !
CONCUSSION IN YOUTH SPORTS Our Coaches Are Certified in Concussion Detection It’s Better to Miss One Game Than the Whole SeasonTo help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports. The Heads Up initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion. |
GoalkeepingNot only is a strong body needed to be a goalkeeper, but a strong mind as
well. Over decades of development a keeper’s skills must become instinctual. Truly the last line of defense and the first line of attack the goalkeeper has a unique skill set in soccer. Team TrainingAs a Team Training Consultant we can provide training weekly or individual times. We believe that a hired team trainer is best utilized by training the team multiple continuous sessions. This way the trainer can get a feel and understanding of all players' strengths and weaknesses. He then can apply tactics to strategies to build the whole team play.
